Ecological activities
Since 2021 we are an active part of the "Ecological Blue Flag" committee of the Caño Negro community.
This group's main objective is to ensure that the community has an adequate management of waste, as well as to promote environmental education in the inhabitants.

ProJaguar Caño Negro
It is a community organization whose center is the jaguar and its interactions with people in a mixed refuge such as Caño Negro.
This program seeks a friendly coexistence seeing the jaguar as an umbrella species to conserve its habitat and its prey, through jaguar monitoring and visits to farms affected by attacks on their livestock.

You can stay up-to-date with what's happening at the Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge through our social media channels, and if you'd like to be part of this experience as a volunteer for our programs, don't hesitate to contact us.

"Viaje al aprendizaje"
Education is the foundation for long-term nature conservation. By learning to understand, respect, and value our environment, people develop awareness and responsibility.
Since 2021, our program “Viaje al Aprendizaje” has strengthened children’s connection with the wetlands around the Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge.
